Cela faisait deux ans que les propriétaires habitaient dans cet appartement qui avait été acheté neuf et qui manquait un peu de personnalité. Ils ont chargé Charlotte Gille de Happy Pog de la rénovation partielle de ce duplex près de Paris, au plan inversé. C'est à dire que l'entrée et les deux chambres ainsi que la salle de bain d'origine sont au niveau inférieur, alors que le salon et la cuisine sont au niveau supérieur avec une belle terrasse donnant sur la Tour Eiffel.
Trois mois de travaux ont été nécessaires pour repenser ce premier niveau et y créer une troisième chambre ainsi qu'une salle de douche supplémentaire, pour cette famille avec deux enfants. Plusieurs pièces ont changé de fonction, l’entrée a été aménagée avec des meubles sur mesure, un placard existant a été supprimé et les toilettes ont été rétrécies afin de créer une salle de douche. L'ancienne chambre parentale a été attribuée à l'un des enfants, et l'ancienne salle de bain assez vaste transformée en chambre parentale avec une salle de bain prise sur l'ancienne buanderie ! La décoration est sobre, douce et végétale, et convient parfaitement à des pièces où la sérénité doit régner. The owners had been living in this flat, which had been bought new and lacked a bit of personality, for two years. They commissioned Charlotte Gille from Happy Pog to carry out a partial renovation of this duplex near Paris, with a reversed floor plan. In other words, the entrance hall, two bedrooms and the original bathroom are on the lower level, while the living room and kitchen are on the upper level, with a beautiful terrace overlooking the Eiffel Tower.
Three months of work were needed to redesign this first level and create a third bedroom and an additional shower room for this family with two children. Several rooms changed function, the entrance was fitted out with made-to-measure furniture, an existing cupboard was removed and the toilet was made smaller to create a shower room. The former parents‘ bedroom has been allocated to one of the children, and the former bathroom, which was quite large, has been transformed into a parents’ bedroom with a bathroom taken from the former laundry room! The decor is sober, soft and plant-based, and perfectly suited to rooms where serenity should reign.
