Découvrez la métamorphose d’un appartement de 140m2 réinventé à Buenos Aires, repensé par des architectes en un élégant trois-pièces.
Trouver un lieu qui corresponde à ses envies est un défi dans une ville aussi bouillonnante que Buenos Aires. Lorsque le propriétaire de cet appartement découvre ce cinq-pièces aux proportions généreuses, il comprend qu’il tient enfin la perle rare. Mais au lieu de s’installer tel quel, il imagine aussitôt un projet de transformation radicale : réduire le nombre de pièces pour agrandir les volumes et laisser circuler la lumière. Pour concrétiser cette vision, il fait appel à l’architecte Esteban Fallone de Fallone Studio, et à l’architecte d’intérieur Jimena Marrano. Ensemble, ils redessinent le plan en abattant les séparations pour donner créer un appartement de 140m2 réinventé en un trois-pièces avec une chambre unique, et de vastes espaces de réception.
Au cœur du projet, la pièce de vie gagne une nouvelle centralité. Anciennement trop étroite, elle est élargie visuellement grâce à un miroir installé sur un mur latéral. La palette chromatique, volontairement sobre, joue le rôle d’écrin pour la collection éclectique du propriétaire : œuvres d’art, objets de design, livres et même ses bicyclettes, exposées comme des sculptures. L’ appartement est passé de trois chambres à une seule suite, où la salle de bains a triplé de volume. Un vestiaire sur mesure complète cet espace intime, tandis qu’un meuble encadrant le lit multiplie les rangements sans alourdir la pièce. Finding a place that matches one's desires is a challenge in a city as bustling as Buenos Aires. When the owner of this apartment discovers this five-room apartment with generous proportions, he understands that he finally has the rare pearl. But instead of moving in as is, he immediately imagines a radical transformation project: reducing the number of rooms to enlarge the volumes and let the light circulate. To realise this vision, he called on architect Esteban Fallone of Fallone Studio, and interior designer Jimena Marrano. Together, they redesigned the layout by removing the partitions to create a 140m2 apartment reinvented as a three-room space with a single bedroom and vast reception areas.
At the heart of the project, the living room gains a new centrality. Formerly too narrow, it is visually widened thanks to a mirror installed on a side wall. The deliberately sober chromatic palette serves as a showcase for the owner's eclectic collection: works of art, design objects, books, and even his bicycles, displayed like sculptures. The apartment went from three bedrooms to a single suite, where the bathroom tripled in size. A custom-made dressing room completes this intimate space, while a piece of furniture framing the bed multiplies storage without weighing down the room.
