This 37sqm Art Nouveau studio is located in a Swedish building featuring typical early 20th-century architecture. The city of Gothenburg is full of these beautiful buildings, and this small, well-decorated space is situated in one of them.
As soon as you enter, this color makes its presence known in the pretty 1970s-style floral wallpaper, Eldblomman Gray-Blue. A soft, almost mineral-like blue, reminiscent of the Gothenburg sky in the morning. This unique shade runs throughout the entire apartment, from the living area to the kitchen. It creates a visual continuity that makes the space feel larger. The light pine hardwood floor flows seamlessly from one room to the next.
Its main room serves as both a living room and a bedroom (this is a studio apartment, after all!), and the zones are perfectly defined. A black-and-white graphic-print sofa sits in the living area. The dark walnut coffee table adds a touch of mid-century style. A cognac-colored leather armchair, next to the window, completes the trio with its typical Scandinavian style. The bed, naturally, has been placed against the opposite wall, with a walnut dresser for added comfort.
The high ceilings, stucco, and moldings run along the white ceiling, evoking the era in which the building was constructed. A gallery of frames above the sofa features exhibition posters, contemporary graphic art, and a few watercolors. The woven rattan light fixture, suspended low above the coffee table, pleasantly illuminates the room come evening.
Few studio kitchens achieve this result, but it must be said that this one is particularly spacious for an apartment of this type. Its dark smoked oak cabinet fronts stand out against the blue walls. The ceiling height here is also generous. The round marble table, surrounded by black rattan Thonet chairs, evokes a Parisian bistro. It works perfectly with the period architecture. Through the French doors, you can see the balcony. The bathroom, meanwhile, goes with red and white. Vermilion tiles in the shower, a sleek white vanity. This red really pops and ultimately contrasts successfully with the blue of the rest of the apartment. Don’t you think?
The balcony is large enough to feel comfortable and faces due south. A cream-colored outdoor sofa, two potted plants, a folding table, what else? Overlooking the courtyard, it offers a view of the building’s ochre-yellow facade with its burgundy-framed windows.

Blue is the unifying theme
As soon as you enter, this color makes its presence known in the pretty 1970s-style floral wallpaper, Eldblomman Gray-Blue. The living room and its cozy bedroom nook

The kitchen and bathroom, truly well-designed
Few studio kitchens achieve this result, but it must be said that this one is particularly spacious for an apartment of this type. Its dark smoked oak cabinet fronts stand out against the blue walls. The ceiling height here is also generous. The round marble table, surrounded by black rattan Thonet chairs, evokes a Parisian bistro. It works perfectly with the period architecture. The balcony: six square meters of bliss
The balcony is large enough to feel comfortable and faces due south. A cream-colored outdoor sofa, two potted plants, a folding table, what else? Overlooking the courtyard, it offers a view of the building’s ochre-yellow facade with its burgundy-framed windows.
