La designer Liza Wassenaar signe pour VT Wonen le relooking d'une maison de ville et a réalisé cet avant/après en bois clair et noir
C’est un relooking pensé comme une rencontre entre deux univers : le noir graphique et la chaleur du bois clair. La styliste néerlandaise Liza Wassenaar signe pour VT Wonen la transformation de la maison de Robert et Katja, couple recomposé avec leurs quatre enfants. Leur souhait ? Un intérieur qui reflète leur histoire commune : élégant, accueillant et assez spacieux pour accueillir toute la tribu autour d’une grande table. Liza a joué sur les contrastes, et réalisé cet avant/après en bois clair et noir. Pour lui, du noir pour l'aspect masculin et contemporain. Pour elle, des essences claires, douces, qui captent la lumière naturelle et créent une atmosphère chaleureuse.
Le résultat ? Un intérieur ouvert, fluide, où les escaliers deviennent des liens entre les différents niveaux de cette maison de ville baignée de lumière. Dans le salon, une étagère murale expose un tableau de Grace Spiegel : un portrait féminin au fusain qui dialogue avec la sobriété du décor. De grandes baies vitrées s’ouvrent sur un jardin généreux, offrant en toile de fond la silhouette d’une église du 15e siècle. Un grand dressing pour toute la famille a été également installé à l'étage. Entre passé et présent, cette maison raconte désormais une nouvelle histoire familiale, lumineuse et graphique. This makeover was designed as a meeting of two worlds: graphic black and the warmth of light wood. Dutch stylist Liza Wassenaar worked with VT Wonen to transform the home of Robert and Katja, a blended family with four children. Their wish? An interior that reflects their shared history: elegant, welcoming and spacious enough to accommodate the whole family around a large table. Liza played on contrasts and created this before and after in light wood and black. For him, black for a masculine and contemporary look. For her, light, soft woods that capture natural light and create a warm atmosphere.
The result? An open, fluid interior, where the staircases become links between the different levels of this light-filled townhouse. In the living room, a wall shelf displays a painting by Grace Spiegel: a charcoal portrait of a woman that contrasts with the simplicity of the decor. Large bay windows open onto a generous garden, with the silhouette of a 15th-century church in the background. A large walk-in wardrobe has also been installed upstairs. Between past and present, this house now tells a new family story, bright and graphic.
