How to furnish a 40sqm apartment to give it a look that’s both simple and luxurious? The answer lies in this project, where a sporty homeowner who travels frequently wanted a soothing space to unwind after her active days. This apartment’s original layout already perfectly suited her daily needs. The main transformation carried out by designers Olga Koposova and Victoria Egorova involved removing the existing partition between the bedroom and the main living area. It was replaced with a sliding glass partition, allowing light to flow freely. This solution creates a sense of greater space.
In the entryway, a large walk-in closet accommodates clothing and sports equipment, greatly simplifying daily life. The main room combines the kitchen, dining table, and a comfortable living area. Custom-built furniture extends to the ceiling, making the most of every available inch. In the living area, there is a light-colored sofa with clean lines, topped by a graphic, contemporary painting. Decorative objects are few, discreet, and carefully chosen.
In the bedroom, the glass partition that replaced the old wall extends the sense of openness toward the living room. The wall behind the bed has been decorated with wood paneling that adds warmth. Opposite the window, a wardrobe with a display cabinet completes the storage. In the bathroom, the walk-in shower takes up the entire available height. The yellow of the bedding energizes the room and echoes the painting above the sofa.
The subtle interplay of materials is what catches the eye. Wood interacts with mineral surfaces, while glass adds a light yet effective touch.
